We are committed to supporting dyslexic individuals and their families across London
Dyslexia is a specific learning difficulty (SpLD) that primarily affects the skills involved in accurate and fluent word reading and spelling. This can impact on literacy development, mathematics, memory, organisation and sequencing skills.

We offer a variety of services for individuals and schools including full diagnostic assessments and exam access arrangements.

How you might find life with dyslexia
Many will think of dyslexia as having difficulty with reading and writing, but there is much more to it than that. You may feel you need longer to do things, that you can't remember things easily, or you forget quickly. You might find it hard to copy from the board or take notes effectively. It can affect how you organise things, both in your writing or your day to day activities. You might arrive late or ‘drift off’. You might avoid using certain words if the spellings seem too tricky. You might be messy or to offset this, be super tidy. Numbers and maths might feel very complex. You might feel pretty frustrated, especially if you are being asked to do things that you find extremely difficult. You might feel that you are not understood.
But you may find it easier to discuss your ideas, even if you have trouble getting them on the page. You may be creative, imaginative and have a strong ability to 'see things'; a problem solver who can come up with new, novel ways of working which come naturally to you.
Dyslexia affects everyone differently and an assessment can help to identify your strengths and the areas you find challenging. An assessment will provide suggestions to help support you in overcoming these difficulties.

Dyslexia can co-occur with other Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLD’s) most commonly with Developmental Coordination Disorder (dyspraxia) as well as other difficulties including dyscalculia , Attention Deficit (Hyperactivity) Disorder (AD(H)D) and Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
